Post Valve Releases Counter-Strike: Source
Valve has released CS:S online through steam, avalible through purchase at 3 different HL2 packages. Packages range from $49.95 (Bronze) where you get HL2 (upon release) and CS:S, to $89.95 (Gold) where you get HL2 (upon release), CS:S, DoD:S (upon release), HL:Source (upon release), a hat, a few posters, some stickers, and some other shit. Also avalible is a the Silver package for $59.95. Check out http://www.steampowered.com/ for the details on the packages.

Anyway, it is important to note a few things. First off, you dont get a physical cd when you order online. So be prepared to redownload everything if your computer crashes. Secondly, here is a tip from www.hlfallout.net:
Quote:
Heads up for Silver and / or Gold package purchasers, your HL1, CS: CZ and other HL1 based CD-keys will expire on purchase. You won't be able to keep the old CD-keys unless you create a new steam account for Half-Life 2 only. This doesn't mean you won't be able to play these games online anymore though, as Steam replaces all your old CD-keys with the new Silver / Gold package key. You can find more information on Warp2Search.

Currently, no release date has been set for HL2. CS:S will not be avalible in stores until HL2 is released.

*sighs*....I guess VU is still trying to steal more money from unsuspecting consumers with prepurchasers for the game that will NEVER be released (HL2)

It's had release dates every quarter for the past 3 years.....

*sighs*....*must hack valve to play game*.....
