The server will be updated to 1.2.2 when Deadman or myself get to it today. If you don't have minecraft, now's the time to get it. It's getting better with every release. |

The main advantage i see from this is logic gates and nand or nor ect. you can also get these and more in buildcraft 3.x. like pipes for transporting shit. Engines and oil are really cool. and the addition to blueprints so you can save sweet creations and have machines rebuild them for you. |

I originally experimented with buildcraft, equivalent exchange and redpower and I think that RedPower is the least controversial mod. It adds some cool blocks (marble, basalt) some new ores (tin, copper) some cool electronic stuff (ability to run redstone vertically, on the underside of blocks, colored lamps), and ability to get pieces of blocks by cutting them. This allows you to make realistic chairs, tables, lamps, cupboards, etc. Unlike EE, RedPower doesn't allow you to create something from nothing, so I doubt anyone would really have a problem with it. |

Been working on fixing the desktop that the rest of my family uses, and I've been sick. In regards to the Minecraft server(s), I'm going to check with Gman at some point in regards to the Minecraft 1.2 server and if/when it will be put on the main connection like the 1.1 server was, and then figure out the mod server. The Minecraft 1.2 server will for sure be updated for each release that fixes some bugs, and eventually updated to a bukkit release where we will then get Lockette and Simple News back on the server. Or we might just get Lockette and Simple News with a future vanilla update seeing as 4 main developers from the Bukkit team are now with the Mojang team. As for the mods that have been tested, those will remain on a separate server so that those who wish to use them can do so, while those who do not can still play on the main Minecraft 1.2 server without having to further alter their Minecraft. That's where I stand as far as that goes for the time being in regards to that. As stated, will be discussing things with Gman. All server updates will be noted in the Minecraft section asap. -DeadMan |

Deadman, I think you need to talk with us before making statements unilaterally like that. In general, we'll go with what most people want, even if there are a few strong objections. In the end though, we'll make the decision as to what we run. (I don't really care whether x mod is in or out, but we'll be the ones making the decision) |

For the time being they will have to be separate regardless seeing as RedPower has yet to be updated, which is the case for most mods, plugins, etc. If I came off as somewhat of an ass about that, my bad, I'm not all here at the moment. Everything will be discussed in due time. Amerijuanican Dreams wrote: just watched the trailer and i'm interested in what on earth the point of the game is, and how online multiplayer works for it? looks ridiculous lol You collect resources in the world you play on to survive and build. Creative Mode you can build freely, but in survival you have to actually gather things. You also defend yourself against a variety of mobs like the zombies in the trailer, and possibly the new iron golems which are passive until you hit either them or villagers. You can go on adventures or mining trips with people in the multiplayer servers when you're searching for things. It's a game that does and doesn't require a lot of thinking to play, depending on what you are doing at the time. If you happen to get hooked on it, you'll end up spending hours playing and not even realize it. You should see if someone would livestream some stuff for you if you want to take a better look at it if you're unsure about getting it. |

Its really inexplicably addictive too -- like I'm not even sure watching a stream will do it justice -- at least for me, after watchign streams I thought it was retarded -- I'm like "why is this nerd always close the door behind him?" Anyway, def watch some videos or streams, but if you think you'll hate it, you may be completely wrong. At least I was. |
