Fomenta, Turkey_Testicles, and I have made a few minor forum changes in the last few days; figured I'd post about it. + I wordfiltered a few words. I'd like to be able to browse n00bfest at work without getting fired. This isn't me trying to censor you or bring you down or anything. I just need to be able to view this site from work without running the risk of someone seeing a bunch of hateful garbage on my monitor and reporting me to HR. If I couldn't visit from n00bfest from work, half the crap I need to do to keep this place running wouldn't get done. Any deliberate attempts to get around the wordfilter will be dealt with harshly. + We've added http://n00bfest.com/radio -- this allows you to stream WNUB directly from your web browser. + WNUB now has its own forum, complete with an administrative forum for DJ's and Turkey to chat behind closed doors. See the forum in the After Hours section. + I've moved some of the forums around (Open Floor is now in the Administrative section) and some of the hidden-from-most-of-you forum structure/permissions have changed and been reorganized to make more sense. |

At last I can browse n00bfest without feeling paranoid! Thank you for that word filter because I have that exact same problem at work. Whenever we are allowed to use computers (most of the time I'm roaming around the campus fixing pcs), I have to constantly make sure no one else is watching when I'm on n00bfest. Quite a few times I have had to close the browser and change the topic whenever some one got too close. On a side note, they've all told me that the site/board design is awesome (congrats). |

Just a suggestion, leave the wordfilter off on the NSFW forum. If you're at work, there's no reason to be there in the first place. |

I totally understand the word filter now, Gman. No problems here. And I agree with Jet about the NSFW forum. I may actually listen to WNUB now that its streaming. Good shit. |

personally, i think the word filter makes it funnier, because it's all caps and SCREAMS that it's been changed. i'm also very excited about the radio addition. good work once again! |

lol n00bfest is blocked at our school so we have to use a proxy anyways lol but this just makes it a tad more safer i guess for us not getting suspended |

Weirdly, even though EVERYTHING is blocked at Disney on our Hub, I can still access n00bfest, and the other day, after I got back on it, I went to open it at work and promptly closed it cause I KNOW I'd get fired...so thanks for this. :) |

for everyone else who needs access, i highly recommend setting up a simple php proxy which does the trick ( use it at work all the time) My stupid job had a mental filter it had nervous breakdowns and starts blocking shit at random, even though it is only setup to block by address, which is stupid in it's own way,but what can i say when you work for one of the biggest pay tv providers it doesn't mean that they can actually find smart IT people. |
