The Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2000 endorsed Republican John McCain for president on Monday, scandalizing Democrats in Washington and giving the GOP hopeful a much-needed boost in New Hampshire where independents outnumber Republicans and Democrats.

Sen. Joseph Lieberman, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, said he chose his longtime Senate colleague because he has the best shot of breaking partisan gridlock in Washington. Both men also are strong and vocal supporters of the war in Iraq.

"On all the issues, you're never going to do anything about them unless you have a leader who can break through the partisan gridlock," said Lieberman, who was Al Gore's running mate seven years ago. "The status quo in Washington is not working."

MSNBC has a video up which claims that there are more Democrats who’ll cross party lines in order to vote for John McCain, then there are Republicans who are willing to break with their party to vote for Barack Obama.

The numbers are simple:

- 14% of Democrats are willing to vote for McCain

- 8% of Republicans are thinking about voting for Obama

This, quite simply, means that - at this point at least - there are more McCainocrats than Obamakins. Is, therefore, Obama’s appeal to Republican voters overestimated? Or is McCain’s appeal to independent-minded Democratic voters?

He is pissing off the old people
He is pissing off the veterans
He is pissing off the clingy religious
He is pissing off the gun toters
He is pissing off the wealthy business owners
He is pissing off America with his foreign pandering
He is pissing off the intellectuals with his deceitful attempt to pose as someone with credentials not earned.
He is pissing off the women by dissing Hillary and bashing Palin instead of giving them their due credit which they actually earned as opposed to his self prophesized spew.

Wake Up America. He is an empty suit, a talking head, a puppet of the loony left liberals Pelosi and Reid and is more corrupt then either John McCain or Sarah Palin. If you look at the skeletons in Obamas closet compared to John and Sarah’s track record of accomplishments and good decisions, it is as plain as the nose on my face... His hypocrisy is astounding.

McCain Wins Endorsement of Leading Latino Democrat

As Barack Obama and John McCain battle for the Hispanic vote, a leading Latino backer of Hillary Clinton is crossing party lines to support the Republican presidential nominee.

In an interview Thursday, Miguel D. Lausell, a Puerto Rican businessman and longtime Democratic activist and fund-raiser, came out for Sen. McCain. While he said he doesn't agree with all the policy positions of the Republican candidate and his running mate, Sarah Palin, Mr. Lausell added: "I find McCain to be a sound person and a man with a track record. I know where he is coming from."

Mr. Lausell said he feels Sen. Obama "doesn't really regard the Hispanic community as important."
