Great video, Metal. I have to say, though, that you should've posted that video of you playing "Guitar Solo - Midnight Escape." That shit sounded great. And is that guitar you used in Midnight Escape a JEM or a Universe? If its a JEM, how much would you be willing to sell it for? How long have you been playing for? What kind of theory do you know/study? You obviously take some influence from Malmsteen/Becker.

Here is another video of me. This one is an excerpt from a Dream Theater song titled "Under a Glass Moon," one of my favorite Petrucci solo's. This video is about 3 years old.

I'll have to see if there's any video out there of me in symphony or in community theatre. If not you get to wait till I put together my bluegrass supergroup & start touring.

I've been playing for 20 years now. The guitar in the Toccata and Fugue is a Universe 7 string and in the Midnight Escape video thats a Jem7 and no i wont sell any of them. I didnt study any theory i just had a really good teacher. Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Jason Becker are some of my favorite guitar players.

The act of sharing your music, no matter what you think of it, is the biggest step to take between "hobby" and "artist". DOO EEET acid!

I think I've only got two videos.

This is a cover of Quake II's soundtrack song: Quad Machine by Sonic Mayhem

And,

Metal Melody: By First Sun. It's a two-hour put-together of old-styled 80's speed/thrash metal by myself.

Like I said, nothing compared to you guys, but I have rhythm! I've never worked on scales or anything, so I don't really try to solo.

im working on a marching snare drum part to hopefully record it in the next few weeks! (im playing mostly snade drum and djembe but i also play drum and other percussions like marimba, congas, timpany, and some other random shit)

_____
so since i cant record it now, i posted here 2 vids of 1 of my favorite french canadian guitarist, first link is him playing in solo, really amazing.

second 1 is still him but he's playing a cover with his mate (on the same guitar)

i hope you'll enjoy it as much as i do Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_20

If you develop an ear for sounds that are musical it is like developing an ego. You begin to refuse sounds that are not musical and that way cut yourself off from a good deal of experience.

Post Re: Post a video of you playing a musical instrument.
ight, i recorded myself today playing a snare drum part I just learned, I'll try to make a copy of the part just so you could understand what im playing, cuz it's mutch more harder than it looks like and my cam records like shit.

the first vid is my snare drum, a Yamaha Field Corps, in a perfect condition, it has a really great sound, thats good stuff.

the second vid is me playing Rolling in Rhythm by Joe Morello, a snare drum solo, i'm playing it at 120 bpm, but im working on it so i could play it at 160, which would take like 40 sec. to play... so i still gotta work on it... here it is

(it sucks cuz there was a cymbal right above the camera Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_32 i'll record it again when i'll be able to play it at 140 bpm, i can actually rock it all at 130, but i still do some sticking mistakes... working on it)
