Post subject:  Inspired
So, it just recently hit me like a fist. I'm sure it has dawned on everyone else, but as an artist myself, I have always felt that looking at other people's art will influence my work too much. It has always been this hard feeling of mine to try and stay as original as possible. HERP DERP!

Art should be inspired by something! When I look at a tree, I always think about how cool the bark looks or the detail it would take to draw all the leaves. I now have a new inspiration, and I guess it is similar to observation. I was looking at some pretty cool illustrations (which I normally do) but got a different feeling about art and inspiration.

It was the feeling that I got from inspiration. My hard feelings set aside, and I was able to actually enjoy a work of art. That inspired me because I want other people to have that same feeling about my work....(someday)

Anyways, if I posted the piece I was looking at it might get flamed or something, so I won't just to torture the few that might be curious! lol.

Its to weed out, and you were talking about how you made a painting and all the inspiration you had, but didn't show it. Thats like me saying I got a grade on a test but didn't say what it was.

If you consider yourself as a weed, fine.
First, I wasn't talking about a painting, painting isn't the only medium that is considered art. I was looking at someone else's work if you can read.

It isn't anything like the analogy that you gave about a test grade. You know why? Because I am expressing how I feel about a piece of artwork, it doesn't matter what it is of. I'm not reviewing it.

Luke, if you sense that my tone is angry, let me explain why. I dislike greatly, people that do not think before making a post. Not only that, but to form your reply as some snide comment is just (with the exception my replies) uneventful. Do you think I should explain myself to you? Why did you post if you don't understand what you are reading?

I also don't like my thread being moved from General discussion. If anyone else makes a post of a picture or Music Video, would that not be considered Art and Music as well? Is there some kind of specific requirement for General Discussion? Oh maybe it shouldn't require some kind of thought process to reply. Example: "lol, cakefarts, bluewaffle, giantcheesetaco, lemonparty, meatspin....I loves teh internets."
