Re: First Sun - Operation Toaster Strudel (Free Track)
That is actually a very decent track, reminds me of some old school C&C with new school production.
I do also appreciate the YouTube embedded uplink, a hell of alot more convenient and more incising to actually give your stuff a listen.

I like it a lot, but I feel like the bass needs to hit harder or something....I don't know that much about music jargon, but I just feel like something is missing.

Either you don't have good speakers or you're not hearing the bass.

Re: First Sun - Operation Toaster Strudel (Free Track)
Acid: Make music how you want it to sound. I probably have one of the best, if not the best sound systems here - and that song sounded glorious. The bass was a perfect fit into the song. Any more and it would have been overpowering.
The thing people have to realize about bass is that if you're vibrating, and you can feel the pressure difference from it hitting, either you're listening to dubstep, dnb, hip-hop, house OR, you have your sub tuned incorrectly. Acoustically - the only instrument I could think of that could reach lower than my sub is a big, big, big organ, thus if you're listening to a song that isn't made specifically for bass (read above) don't turn it up. You're F*CKING with how the artist wanted it to sound. Similarly, don't F*CK with the equalizer. A, you'll go deaf, B, it sounds retarded.
Chris can attest to half of my sound system. It's good. It's accoustically correct. This song. Good. Want more bass? Get a system that can handle it without distortion - or get a sub that can dig below 20hz, cause that's where the real feeling comes in.

Immediately thought of Unreal Tournament music. Not sure if you're familiar with Kevin Riepl, but this reminds me of this track knowing your background in garage metal makes it seem like a track you could be influenced by. Keep it up

Re: First Sun - Operation Toaster Strudel (Free Track)
Thanks hooker! Vozy I'm a HUGE fan of ut music and the old quake soundtracks. It's actually the first industrial I ever listened to. I tell people all the time that if they like ut or quake music they would probably like mine. Much of what I make has been with those roots. I think the reason why lots of people like the music I create is because it keeps those roots intact and I feel straying too far from the good old days is just not the sound I want. This is gamer music and most if not all my tracks intend to honor that time when this music was really hitting the scene, especially in games. Check out my website at firstsunmusic.com and if you read the from page it gives a little history on my influences and my music background.

came back for seconds of this track and added it to my game-play rotation. looking forward to when the song pops on in an extra-serving-of-cunt-time when i run 3-4-5 kills in a row. definitely, good stuff.
