O.K., take Josh Homme, the lead singer from Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl on drums, and John Paul Jones, the bassist from Led F*CKING Zeppelin, and you got yourself the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. I love JPJ. I'd say he was probably the most talented member of Zep. I've even followed his solo shit (which is awesomely talented stuff). This group is def. a supergroup. The music I've heard from TCV sounds AWESOME, too. I'm definitely sold. |

They've got a decent sound to 'em. I think the lyrics are a little too soft for such busy music, though. Here's something a little similar, in that it's a "super-band" -- a band composed of members from different successful bands: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7QSkI6My1g They've got a more blusey/punk sound than the band you posted, but they're right up my alley. I saw 'em live @ ACL Fest this past year and they were F*CKING amazing. The band is composed of: - Jack White (Guitarist/Singer/etc from the White Stripes, Raconteurs) - Alison Mosshart (Singer from The Kills) - Dean Fertita (Guitarist from Queens of the Stone Age) - Jack Lawrence (Bassist from the Raconteurs) |
