Post Request for Beer Labels
As a lot of you know, I brew my own beer. I have a few different types currently bottled. I've got the label paper, but I haven't touched an imaging program in a few y ears and am way out of touch in that regard.

I need three different beer labels made. The dimensions should be that of a standard beer label. I need it to fit on a regular 12oz bottle.

The things that the labels must include:

1) Adam's Brewery (somewhere on it, preferably on the top and relatively small)
2) The type of beer
3) The alcohol content (ABV)

The three kinds of beer I have are:
Samuel L Jackson's Bad Mother F*CKER Ale (notice Mother F*CKER is two words - just like on his wallet in Pulp Fiction). It's about 7.5% ABV
Cap'n & Adam's Blitzkrieg Honigweizen. It's about 6% ABV
Randy McGregor's Honey Porter. It's about 8% ABV.

The ABV should be very small, but included somewhere on the label. I've got a few ideas for the labels - like the Sam Jackson should have a pic from pulp fiction... preferably one with Samuel L Jackson pointing a gun (the menacing ezekial 25:17 scene is preferred). The blitzkrieg should have something german about it, or something menacing. I was thinking some sort of ill-tempered bee or some such nonsense, but I'll leave that open to you. The blitzkrieg can also have wheat on it, since it's a wheat beer. The Randy McGregor's Honey Porter is named after my drunken redneck alter ego. Some sort of drunken redneck stereotype (such as a broken down truck with a gun rack or something) would be awesome.

Colors don't matter.

If you make something that impresses me enough to use and you're over 21, I'll send you some of my beer. If you're not over 21, then I'll just give you my everlasting love (or send it to someone who is 21 such as your parents).

Post rough draft for the BMFA
Here are a couple drafts of the SamLJackson one:

I matched the font and didn't know how colorful you wanted it. My thoughts were as follows: The beer has a don't F*CK around attitude so it ain't gonna F*CK with no crazy ass colors. Plus, I don't own the dvd so I couldn't pull and hi-res screen shots out. These are very rough drafts and if you like one I can vector the black and white to make it crisp but that is detailed work and would rather get an affirmative before spending a lot of time on it.

Very nice. I like the black and white one, but the gun isn't very well defined. If you can vectorize it and make it "obviously" a gun.

Yeah, I just read what I wrote and it was terribly broken engrish. I'm working right now, and concentrating on other stuff... like finding the IP for the print device right next to me so I can add the printer object for it to my box so I can print your damn resume.

btw, I think I just left out a comma. "If you can, vectorize"

Okay, I vectored out the gun and it didn't look right so I started doing the whole thing and thought it looked better the way it was already. I did sharpen up the pistola in a few different ways and levels of brightness. 1-3 have a fucked up jacket so ignore that just look at the gun in all and tell us which is to your liking.

I was kinda bored so I started working on them and just wanted to post what I got done tonight. I don't think I'm halfway done with them yet that's why they look kinda plain. The honigweizen one I started second too and I'm tired as hell so I kinda stopped trying. I'll work on it more tomorrow or this weekend.

Also, are you gonna try and sell this stuff cuz if so I don't think we can use Samuel's Face or some of the pics I was gonna use for the Honigweizen.

My finished version of the BMFA:

Image

Dimensions are 4x3, I don't know what it should be but it can be rescaled. I think I might have went a little ape squeeze on the font. The other was a bit dull so I BAMMM'd it. It can be reverted. The checkered border represents transparency, I was too lazy to make a gif.

Love you all

Nice. Thanks for the hard work. Keep 'em coming if you have any other ideas. I'm going to run these by my brewing buddies and see what they think. I've actually gotta whip up a new batch of Sam Jackson soon. I'm down to my last 12 bottles of it.

Couple other things:

Pyro - the dimensions on those need to be adjusted a bitt. I'd cut the width in half or so. The label doesn't need to go all the way around the bottle. I'd like to see what the Honigweizen label would look like with a German flag. Btw, the bottles are 12oz, not 11 :-P

Shorty - I'm really digging the sam jackson label. I've got a couple requests though. Can you change the way that the font for adam's brewery looks? There's something about the way it is now that screams "microsoft powerpoint." Can you also bold Sam Jackson's name, the 12oz part, and the ABV to make them a bit thicker? If you can up the image's resolution, that'd be sweet too.

Those are place holders negro. And the size of the label can be adjusted to whatever I just make a basic background and start from there, that's why the honigweizen is the same size.

You should make a smaller label for the back of the bottle that has Jule's Bible verse written on it.

We may be changing the name of the Randy McGregor's honey porter to "Samuel L Jackson's Path of the Righteous Man Porter."
