instead of saying stfu every 2 minuets would it be possible to turn off talking to everyone except elders or high ranking admins

this could help alot with the mic spamming and stuff

sorry but i think its a bad idea......how could someone get a teamate to boost them on a box or warn a teamate of enemys around the corner.etc...etc...etc......you warn then take proper action to those who disrespect the rules.

Yep, talking (to a reasonable extent) is at least 95% of what makes n00bfest servers worth playing on. However, if people don't have the maturity to STFU once in a while, then they deserve to be kicked, or whatever.

I can't wait until I can enforce that rule. I've had a few little pricks mouthing off to me the last couple days. Tell 'em to "please be quiet", they continue. Tell 'em to "stop talking", they continue. Tell 'em to "shut the F*CK up when dead" and they start mic spamming. I'd love to kick anyone who defies the decree of n00bfest.

Yeah, I'd agree with no mic when dead at all...

'course if we DID turn off mics, everyone in n00b could use Vent, giving them a distinct advantage :P

And: If someone is afk, tell an admin to admin_say "AFK" or something. If there is no admin, then say "AFK" and no more.

That's what I think would be ideal.

mute mics not a good plan thats a big part of why people like n00bfest, as long as they do what there told when admins tell people to do something there's no problems its people that do like being told what to do that are the problem and they will get delt with sooner or later :)

It seems almost too quite lately. I don't know but the main server is a pub server I think it should kinda feel like a bar, some place to relax a bit and have fun. Don't get me wrong, mic spamming bad and stufu when dead are good but I like to hear alittle chatter.

Talking trash is part of n00bfest, however, when you got 2 ppl left and their trying to take on 8 ppl your talking is a nuisanse to those left playing. So, guys remember to moderator your talking and you'll do just fine.

Maybe we should make talking a bannable offence (timed of course, maybe 30 mins?).

i think mad has a good idea but make it like 10 to 15 min other wise people might not come back..... :)
