Sorry about posting two topics.. but I've been browsing at other gaming forums for CZ and noticed that more than half of their webpage's has chatrooms that you can go into and talk in private with someone or talk publicly. So I thought, why doesn't n00bfest have one? Have we ever had one and it didn't work out so well? I just thought it would be a better way of communicating instead of using pm and waiting for them to reply and I know everyone on here doesn't have a mic for Vent. Just a thought.

LOL! I agree with the idea of having a server based chatroom that doesn't involve having to download any more programs.

Well I don't know anything about IRC. So to get it you have to download it?? And how exactly do you get to it??

The n00bfest.com site before this had a Java chat with live in-game pin points to show whats going on. But nobody went into it.

If the IRC chat stays alive this time, I might bring back the java irc interface I used before. It allowed non-mIRC people to join the same IRC channel as the rest of us, but through a java web interface. Worked fine when we had the Windows server, but went downhill when nobody used IRC and we went to a Linux based webserver.

They have a Linux version of it, but it's a pain in the ass to setup, and I don't wanna experience the p[ain in the ass until we've proven our IRC lifespan.
