Already posted this in the tournament section, but this area might be more appropriate.

I do have one idea for the next tournament:

Advertise in any possible area of teh interwebs that n00bfest is having a CZ tournamentAllow any team from the CZ community to enter and play.
Of course, this would be huge. Of course, what we want is for n00bfest to be huge. Good tournament = recognition = pwnage!
The only drawback: if it's huge, much more planning will have to go into it. We would need teams for:
Administration - Organizing the rosters and planning the brackets
Referees - to ensure the matches flow smoothly, wins are recorded properly, and players handle themselves maturely
Anti-cheat - to provide on-site hack prevention (rather than having a dispute ruled out over a few days, it would be instantaneous based on HLTV)
Advertisment - of course, anyone can do this, but get the word out to all those other clans

I'd like to see n00bfest grow positively while I'm here, so think this over and I hope I can see this happen. We could even have the tournament over a few days or even weeks like CAL has them. It doesn't have to be n00bfest's entry into the OGL-style community/tournament, it would just be a huge, single occurance tournament to help n00bfest to come out of it's shell into the gaming world

OH....anyone have an irc idle-bot that is programmable....drop one of those suckers into the calscrim-cz room and let it ride for a few weeks

This is going to sound kinda gay but... I can make a Myspace just for advertiseing this Tournament and I can go around all the CZ groups and give them all the details.. Is that an ok idea?

This is what i think would make more people to play if they had everyone to post to see who wants to play. Find out how many 4 player teams can be made out of who want to play. Put a high skill player on each team and make that the team leader and flip a coin in vent and have a draft so its more of an even playing field. I mean who wants to go against a team like Brand tucker promethius weedman nobody wants to play if there isn't chance to win it. Maybe im wrong but i think more would play. :wink:
