i'm willing to try it. i forget what it's like to play 1.6; it's been years... but i HATE getting stuck on random shit like buckets, and the HUD does look pretty sweet. if you make the server name something obvious it will help drive traffic too.

I'm sure traffic will not be a problem at all. We'll probably have to kick people just so n00bs can get in. Also, Goo(JFOBP) is super excited to the point of wetting himself over it that I'm sure he'll be in the server all day, so will the rest of PSA for the most part.

If it can run Source, it'll be able to run CSP easier. It's like a more stream lined custom version of Source that takes out the shit that you get stuck on like crates, bottles, and tires, and also has tons of modifications on models, hud, grenade arc, recoil, and movement to make it more like the hl1 versions of CS with updated graphics. I'm pretty sure they did an FPS test on their site of the source maps and models compared to their maps and models. I'll try to find it and post it.

I cannot wait for this. Ive been watching more vids of the maps and readingmore and im excited. I never got into 1.6 since I was too busy playing DoD 1.6 (same thing except nazis).

This will take some getting used to. I tried going back to 1.6 a while back and couldn't believe how hard it was to adjust. It was a lot harder than it was to adjust from 1.6 to source.

I sent fomenta a link with the shit he needed to get the server started a little while ago, so we should be good on a server when it starts. It is going to be hard for some of you to get adjusted quickly because there is going to be a pretty large difference in recoil and nades and it isn't going to have any of the alternate models other than the default 1 ct and 1 t, also there isn't any retarded guns that you might be used to running around like p90, ump, shotties, or any of that. Right now they just have the main comp weapons.

Nice, if this can fully bring back the competitive level con CS i will probably be playing this shit and leave CS S alone, and try to go fully competitive on this shit hehehe.
