Hello every one I'm just asking the maps and weapons because my brother gave me his steam account. this is my 7 day playing counterstrike im new at this so i just want informationa on what weapons i should pick i always take long. so i just want to see what your guys weapons of killing people. and your favorite map the only maps i played is dust2 , office, train and two other maps i forgot the name ? My favorite gun is by far the AK47. If you can learn to shoot in 2-3 round bursts and aim at heads only, you should be good to go. The obvious pistol choice is the Desert Eagle. However, the glock on burst fire is great for close range shooting as well. I like most of the maps on the rotation except prodigy.

everyone's favorite map is assault even though we dont play it you should only buy guns such as the mac-10 or auto-shotty

Map - Aztec. I started my CS adventures about 10-11 years ago on Aztec (and didn't get any kills after playing for a couple of hours) and I've had a soft spot for the map ever since. Weapon - Awp. I had a very close connection with this gun. Unlike traditional snipers, I used to rush in with an AWP all the time, giving me the unofficial title "Assault Sniper". Years have passed and it's an AWP-less era, but my favorite weapon has not changed. As for what weapon you should pick, here is my recommendation. Start with Mp5 (not p90). Unlike the p90, this one will let you have fun while at the same time not let you rely on all spray and pray. After you have some fun with the mp5, use the desert eagle (and only the desert eagle) for a while, and try to aim only for the head. After playing with it for a bit, start using the AK/M4. Use only 1-3 shot bursts unless you are right next to the enemy, and aim only for the head. After a while, you will have a preference for the AK or M4. Pick one you are comfortable with, and use the Desert eagle as your sidearm and start increasing your accuracy.

AWP, AK47, All pistols except the dual elites (unless I am allowed to use my scroll wheel to shoot fast). The p228 is just as good as the glock only it shoots through armor like a Desert Eagle (NightHawk). Honestly, I only buy the Desert Eagle out of habit but I try to use the pistols you start with or the p228 because it's more of a challenge to get kills. They are more accurate than the Desert Eagle but the Desert Eagle is more powerful. Sometimes if you want to get better you have to use the weaker guns to work on accuracy. My favorite maps are de_train and de_season. In addition to practicing aiming for the head, if you HAVE to spray, aim at the head first, then the feet, then the head again. To work on accuracy, try whipping the mouse from one side of the screen to the other and aiming for one spot and practice the same thing on people's heads so that you can do reflex shots and not miss.

I go back and forth between the AK and M4 but the deagle always brings in the headshots. Pump shotty when im feelin squirrely. Good advice from Reborn tho.

I was always a constant m4/ak'er back in the day but obviously need to have a decent grasp of most guns. Light buys like pump shotty and mp5, eco pistols, etc. My absolute favorite used to be a clarion when I was in a tight spot money wise. Back when you used to move at normal speed with the clarion and idf, the clarion was one of the dirtiest weapons in the game due to its lack of recoil on the burst fire. A small pull down on someones face and you'll get the 2 dink kill; if there are multiple people peeking you the next flick/burst will be just as efficient as the last. If I remember correctly you also didn't need to strafe properly for it to be accurate as well. For maps, Mill, Nuke, D2, Inferno. I'd say nuke is my favorite, mainly for the T side. CT side, it's the same shit; you get your players to play their spots and you win, best with a player loosely playing hell to dark room (ramp connector room), and should be an easy 13-15 win side. T side is completely based on timing, jukes, and very crucial shots. Even though ramp can be an easy take (I used to nail the pick at hs often) it still requires a lot of coordination to lock down b for the plant. When you get that upper A spawn, it's a mad dash for the initial person to get out and hit his first shot, leaving enough room for the 2nd to come up and back him up. It's one of the only maps that time and time again would make me have absolute fun knowing the other team is pissed that we won 7-10 on them T side.

Protip: AK/M4 and a deagle is all you ever need to buy. Anything is useless excessive because this game is about using the same three guns for a decade. Also armor/nades are useless.

I love Argghhh. Arghhh Is my favorite map. My favorite weapon is the awp..i used to pwn face with it..not so much anymore..I usually stick to the ak/m4 and deag now..
