In your opinion, in terms of getting more kills, is a higher or lower resolution better? Either way I get good fps on max settings, since CS source is kinda a piece of shit game graphically, although it's a huge improvement from 1.5/1.6 obviously. The game looks better on 1600 x 1200 which I usually put it at but everything is much smaller obviously.

I run 1680x1050 on max and don't have a problem at all. The only time you need to lower your resolution is if your FPS is to low.

As Mossy let me know probably about a year ago, running lower res allows most computers to achieve a more consistent framerate, and as State let me know, the more consistent the frames, the better settings you can make so that you can hit what you're aiming at with more consistency.

So if you're running widescreen HDMI maxed out, there's a decent chance your setup can't really handle that for lots of motion.

Jack down your res and prepare to be amazed at how much easier it is to hit what you're shooting at.

With smaller resolution everything zooms in as well. I have trouble seeing someone's head a lot of the time, especially if it's dark. But I like running in 1080p it's sexy.

I play for shits and giggles so i don't care score and rankings. Yes I like to win but I don't care much for my score or I wouldn't rush no matter what team I'm on.

It is a little easier at a lower resolution honestly, but I don't care enough about my rank to have my game look like shit...
except for a few gungame maps, my fps is stable anyway.

I run at 1814x1020 and I like it. My comp can handle it without a problem, also it's the only res that actually looks normal on my screen. I'de just reccomend running your native resolution.

Interesting. I'll probably leave it at hi-res at the expense of more potential kills, I play more for the trips graphics.
