Post MAP Testing? de_oilrig NEW VERSION v0.0.43
Im remaking a Map de_oilrig and i want to test it with some players, get some feed back make the map better.
Its the basic Layout of as_oilrig from CS 1.6, with 2 bombsites some things are not finished.
WHO DO I TALK TO GET THIS ON A SERVER, scrim or public... just need some testers.

If you could Include The build number when you post a comment about the level that would be Great.

I'll test it buddy, trust me, I'll find out if there's any F*CKING glitch in your map ;)

btw is there a reason why I can't load the map? I create a server, select the map, press on OK then nothing happens and the console just tells me that it failed to load the map... anyone got the same prob?

Umm, i dont know i havent had any one else try it.
its the file name. change it to de_oilrig_32.bsp

Hmmm the only other thing i can think of is my internet connection make the file corrupt.
Its happen before.
I need to download the file and check it.

Never played oil rig, but:
* The water doesn't extend far enough on the right side -- you see the bottom of the skybox.
* Can't get out of the vent once I drop into it (not sure if thats intentional)
* The wide window that looks into the room with the crane has a texture misalignment on the left side and a gap at the top

LOL opps I'll fix that soon, after this scrim...
I fix the top and forgot about the bottom... HAHAHa

Oh and the water is because there is no Skybox yet, im going to make it look like it goes on for LONG TIME...
Im also going to add rails so u cant just fall off most of the edges.
Ive work on it for about 2-3 days, its still a very early alpha build, main thing was to get the structure right.

are you sure you downloaded it right?
its a fun map it would be hella fun on the pub with a lot of people since the map is so god damn big but i think its too big to scrim on

Try to delete it and download it again.

Then create server and pick the map from the drop down.

If that doesn't work you can download it from our fast download site -- http://www.n00bfest.com/cssfd/maps -- its called de_oilrig_32.bsp

If that doesn't work, and no one is in the first scrim server, you can hop in there, then on the scrim panel write: "changelevel de_oilrig_32" in the custom box to change the level

Add railings definitely because the water kills you really fast.

Maybe add more boxes for cover?
can't break the glass on the tower?
A helicopter on the pad for cover?
Can't get out of those vents..

I tried to make it as close to AS_OILRIG as possible i liked that map even if it was unfair, so no boats.
I did change a few things to make it better as a DE_map.

Updates:
Ive added rails to the outside.
i moved the ladder that's in the center (water) room to the lower deck.
added a ladder in the Old CT spawn (as_ ct spawn).
Moved the TOP bomb site from the Heli pad to the room near it.
Limited the sniper tower to just the front. this way you cant climb on the back and camp.

Need to Do:
Rails on the inside T spawn.
Decals for bomb sites (directions).
Fine tune some things (water damage, Skybox, textures, spawn locations)
Elevator in the T spawn (?)
