Post subject:  Official Map Request Thread

As per Gman's request. This is the official thread to get maps into the main server.

The rules for maps:
1. Must have 32 spawn points.
2. Must be a CSS map.
3. Must be well designed (no spawning outside of buy zones, no glitches, etc)
4. Must include a link to the map

Make sure you test the map by adding a ton of bots to it and inspecting each team's spawning before suggesting it. You will be held personally responsible if you get a bad map to the server.

Stadium, vegas, mall, plane, oilrig, assault , havanna


Opt for daily map rotations to keep things fresh, classic-maps on weekdays and on weekends with lotta peeps randy maps to throw everyone through loops, should be alot of fun

I support chris' request, I sent a link to a de_rats map downloadable on fpsbanana a couple of months ago (or weeks idk)...

anyway actually I think we should add those maps to the 'rtv' thing (if it ever gets enabled again) since the only time we could play them would be when an admin is on, if the admin ever wants to play them... that could be interesting actually...

All have 32 spawn points and are some pretty great custom maps. I have played on all of them and they are really fun. They should also be big enough to fit 32+ people in them and even more. Check them out.

Also if we are putting new maps on the server can we have a map vote possibly at the end of each map rather than a set rotation?

I played these a lot way back in the day and I liked them. Haven't played them in a LONG time though. Mostly played some of them in either 1.3-1.6 or CZ.

There's 2 that i'm really trying to remember the names of. I don't know if they ever remade them for CZ or CSS. They were really fun way back when it was still 1.5 and 1.6. They were both in the woods.

All I can remember about one was there was a house out in the woods were one team spawned next to and the other team spawned kind of on the other side of them. That one would bring back memories lol.
The other one, one team spawned out in a kinda wooded area, you ran straight a little ways(kinda closed in on both sides by either a wall or a cliff) then had to turn left like 180 degrees(the wall was blocking you from going were you needed to) near a stream and run a little farther and there was a building were the other team was.

I know neither of those made sence, but i'm trying to explain them off of vivid memories from a minimum of 8 years ago. If any of you have any idea of what i'm refering to, please remind me!

if it's not on there yet. I'm not sure about the amount of spawn points or glitches though. It was fun in CS and realized they remade it for CSS. Thanks!

I actually meant to say, before posting and suggesting this map, try it, then be sure that the map got enough spawn points and that it's playable.

And btw, de_forest takes hours to download from CSS (for those who would need to if it would be added to the map list)
