Well remember it was always IN source until the 2006 update for Dynamic Weapons Pricings.

Competitively it adds an extra edge for good strategists, the whole buying ammo thing. It also gives people a reason to be better because each bullet costs something.

preschool dropout wrote: im betting 90% of those who were opposed to the ammo thing runs around and sprays all day naw, they probably don't realize it was in source when it came out and was taken out for DWP, which was reverted, however the ammo buying was not.

Re: victory at the steam powered forums
I remember it as a part of Source and when I play 1.6 from time to time it brings back memories. You can't buy a gun if you don't have the ammo for it. Those opposed to it simply oppose it because they play in pub's all the time and like the simplicity of it automatically being bought. For others, it will mean that "binds" will become part of the buying routine, so they aren't the last to buy in spawn.
What's your next battle about? A 5% movement cost on pistols? But why, by default settings and what majority of the people use it would mess up the aiming and it would be reverting back to 1.6 imo

Re: victory at the steam powered forums

pistols 5% smgs 15% rifles 25% deagle 30% awp 100%
something like that. The way it is right now, the deagle is ridiculously accurate while running and spraying it as well. The deagle should be more like in 1.6 IMO. we have a skimmer. There is a reason why people like 1.6 better, and how would it mess up aiming? you aren't supposed to be able to run and spray, this would just punish players who DON'T AIM. nt though

Re: victory at the steam powered forums
If they end up trying to change the recoil, they will probably break it so shots don't go straight at all unless you have <15 ping like 1.6.

Re: victory at the steam powered forums
I actually like just having a lot of ammo when starting, but it takes away from spraying at least.

Re: victory at the steam powered forums
The AK used to have a echo that was pretty bad.
Your asking for the game to be realistic, if you wanted that then you would then need to be able to aim down the sight instead of shooting from the hip the whole time. also with hit boxes with the fact you go around a corner and still get a headshot. The game needs to stay it's broken self. They need to stop fixing something that has been broken for awhile now and all the fixes just break it more.

Re: victory at the steam powered forums
Hito: They can't fix the fact that you go around corner's and get interpt. That has to deal with how clients interact with the server. (interp, lerp, etc.)
