Anyone else having registration problems since the update?
I was really used to the crappy registration before, that is just the nature of CS after all.
But, since the update (not the one with all the new achievements but the newer one since then, only like a week or so ago) registration went from bad to worse.
I'm not talking about so much shooting, but getting shot. What keeps happening is I will be shooting someone, and then take cover around a corner and be about 5-10 feet behind the cover, not in the open, sometimes more and somehow I'm still getting shot even though I am well behind the cover according to my screen. But, apparently according to the server I'm still out in the open. This makes snap shooting pretty much impossible since I will think I'm safe behind cover and then get headshotted as if through a wall but then I check out the red line thing after I die, the server thinks I was out in the open, but to my screen I was safe.
I've tried changing cl_interp from 0.1 to 0.01 but, that doesn't really help. I know I can't be the only one that this has been happening to. Other people I've asked agreed with me.
I've played CS since beta 3, and like everyone else have dealt with the shitty registration, but now it's horribly bad. I guess Valve forgot the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Yup. The best thing to do is follow in the instructions here - Spyda & Tucker's Lag Fix (new CS:S Orangebox)

Also the "I'm behind a wall but died" thing is because their interp isn't set correctly. There should be some sort of server plugin that can just force at least decent minimum rates 66 20000 and 0(auto sets to lowest) interp.

Re: Anyone else having registration problems since the updat
yeah thanks. I saw your thread after I posted this and set my autoexec.cfg with those settings.
it seems to be working a lot better, not 100% more like 90% but it is CS still I suppose.
maybe i will try the cl_interp_ratio at 3 instead of 2 and see what happens.

Re: Anyone else having registration problems since the updat
yeah thanks for that.
I have it interp_ratio set at 1.4
it gives me lerp of 21.2
1.3 makes it 18.3 or something but it's orange
it's white lerp of 21.2 good? what are you guys getting?

Re: Anyone else having registration problems since the updat
Yeah, I use 1.4 on the server when it isn't full. The few times I hopped in the server and it was full, I've had it as high as 3.2.

Re: Anyone else having registration problems since the updat
You can subdivide further too. I was at 1.4 at constant white, and 1.3 was constant orange, so I think I'm back to 1.307 or something similar.

Re: Anyone else having registration problems since the updat
I set mine to 1.365 and it's made a huge difference.
