Tonight we had an onslaught of nextmap spamming that lagged up the server pretty bad, making it literally unable to be played. I'm curious, isn't there a way to check commands being posted to find out who is swamping the server like that?

If there was then we would have bant them by now. so sadly no but there is something that you can run on your server that auto kicks/ban a person as soon as they start doing it. I though we already had it since I haven't seen it happen in a long time.

that was the timeleft hack but i believe acid changed both nextmap and timeleft to clients only so i dont know why that was happening.

Thats wierd that those people were able to spam "nextmap," because sometimes I get flood control when I type nominate and then type nextmap and then try rtv, it locks me out after nextmap if not nominate.

The flood detection is triggered via detection of the command "say", which the in-game chat uses. However, you can alias "talk" to "say" using the console, and it might bypass the flood detection. Then you just have to spam using the console instead of the in-game chat.

Directly typing commands into the console bypasses the flood detection.

When it was going on, all I could see up in the top left was the nextmap, so I figured that's what it was... if those flood controls are in place then I'm not sure what was going on.

And to double, I have played in this server for quite some time and I come here because it is fun. I enjoy playing with guys who are funny, and I would apply to n00b if I wanted the responsibility. If these guys knew me in real life then they would probably just give me admin to get rid of all the idiots who cause problems. I'm always a fair guy if a little hot headed to morons, but always good in self control and following the rules. So I'm only going to say this once, I don't hack. Please keep your accusations to yourself when they have no basis. I'm sure you know how to show respect to other people. Thanks.

Just the other day I was in a server and I clutched a round by shooting 5 guys all in different directions coming at me in less than 4 seconds. ha vision - it's true and i only did 1 180 to shoot at the dude who was hitting me close to the side entrance of A ct spawn i pulled the trigger because i thought i was dead anyways and somehow i killed someone who was supposedly behind a box i don't even know where they were and still don't... haha but i was scared that i would get banned because it was crazy. I remember it still because it is probably the craziest thing i've ever done except for the other night when g-man was in the server and i clutched on chateau with 11 kills
