Any movie involving teen pregnancy is automatically good. In all seriousness, I really enjoyed thi movie when I saw it.

Give it a week or two, guys. It'll hit you real hard. You'll realize how sad, yet powerfully inspiring it was to see a young, smart girl make an atypical mistake and, in the end, through it all...she is unchanged.
It hit me in the middle of Ethics class. I cried.

I liked Juno. I think it raised a lot of questions about America's youth.
I saw a CNN report yesterday about these 13 girls in the Northeast who made a pregnancy pact with each other and apparently one of them slept with a homeless man just to get pregnant. I think the girls ages ranged from 15-18.
I brought this up because some people speculated that in American society having babies is the new fad. They based this on young Hollywood stars being pregnant, like Jamie Lynn Spears, and the movie Juno. Apparently these critics say that these parts of our society show teen pregnancy as a fairytale without the harsh consequences and sacrifice it takes to raise a baby especially without the standard family structure.

wasn't it 17 girls? I thought the same thing when Juno first came out...we don't need a movie glorifying teen pregnancy...then I saw it and actually liked it. I had one sophmore girl in one class this last semester who said several times how much she wanted a baby...geez I think I almost got mad at her one of the times she said it.

Put Ellen Page in a schoolgirl outfit and pigtails and I would ruin her reproductive organs. No lie.

Teen pregnancy has been an issue longer than anything I can think of. I hate stupid shits who blow things way out of proportion just to get attention in the media.

I was forced to watch it by a vagina. Not to bad. (The movie not the vagina, the vagina was bad.)

The question is:
Juno - Would you hit it?
