The GPS tracking sort of makes sense to me. I never really understood the point of it. Is it that hard to read a map that you need a system that tells you where you need to go?

There was a story out a couple months ago about some new phone that allowed OTHER people to keep track on where you were. And they interviewed the dumbest of people about it asking what they thought about it. Of course just about every kid they talked with was like "Oh my god, this is a great idea. Nothing can go wrong here."

Well, a GPS is handy for one person whose driving somewhere, as they can't look at a map and drive at the same time. It also comes in handy if a road closes and you need to drive through a detour. Granted, it's not worth spending the money on it...but if you have rich relatives that like to buy that crap for ya...well...

And yeah, I remember the ad campaign for that phone. Wasn't that the "Where you at?" campaign?
