My computer is almost dead so two weeks ago I decided to order a custom PC since I'm too lazy to build a new one. I went with iBuyPower since they were cheaper than Alienware (the only major builder who's logo on the PC wouldn't embarrass me).

I ordered it so it would be delivered that Friday. After no communication from them what-so-ever, it got here yesterday.

It wasn't even the computer I ordered. They got the case and a pair of headphones right, but that was it. Everything else was no where near what I specified in the order.

The computer doesn't even boot up. It lights up and the fans make a high-pitched screeching noise that doesn't stop until I cut the power.

When I first bought it, I said to myself "I'm probably going to get what I'm paying for." Later, I came across some reviews of them on ResellerReviews.com, which were horrible, much to my dismay. I told myself it would be alright. I can't begin to describe how pissed I am right now.


Edit: And I'm sure I've made a mistake by posting about it. I'll just go ahead and laugh at myself and parrot "pwned" and shit so we can get it out of the way.

Also, I'm starting to think I should just get a computer just good enough to play Source and then an HDTV and start playing consoles more since PC gaming is getting shitty.

All gaming is getting that way...almost every game is just a remake of a former one now. I guess the game designers have ran out of new ideas...

Eh, I'm not even talking about that.

I really play nothing more graphically intense than Source. Any other games I have that are more demanding have a console counterpart that is actually better than the PC version since the PC version is nothing more than a port from the console version.

Sucks about the comp. I know it's not for everybody, but building your own is the best way to go. I'll never buy a computer from anyone else ever again.

As far as gaming goes, I'm getting bored with it. I had to quit gaming for a week or so because my CPU fan died and I didn't want it to overheat, and had to find something else to keep me amused. I've recently rediscovered my love for cigars. I've been spending my nights with my feet kicked up with a good stick watching a movie or a game.
