Nope. Ubuntu is still linux. Just about any unix/linux based OS you have to pay for the platform that'll allow you to play games.
Lame.

I like Ubuntu. I have a secondary drive that runs it so I can boot to it separately. Works great for hunting for cracks and codes in places like astalavista.box.sk and such. Also goo for searching torrents and the like. Not as likely to F*CK up your system if you use Linux for those things instead of one's precious gaming platform.

Ok, i am not the most computer savvy person alive, so I googled what is unbuntu, but all it told me was how it was free and it had a bunch of useful applications available.
Is it a replacement for windows? What the hell is it in lament terms?

I just answered my own questions. God. Now that I've got some DVDs I might as well get Ubuntu now and switch.
And GB, Ubuntu is a version of linux which is an operating system like windows is. It's free and supposed to be easy to use, but I'm sure you still have to get used to it since it's linux.
