ok, so this upcoming year i am going to be a sophmore at the university of Arkansas. in high school i played sports or whatever, but now im only in a fraternity, and bored. joining the military is something ive always kinda thought about doing, i think it would be fun as hell, but my parents for sure dont want me to. ive never really thought hard about it but lately ive had alot of time to think, and this sounds fairly interesting to me. if I do, I would want to go special forces as an officer if possible.

SO...To those of you who i know have been, or who are, in the military, do you think ROTC is the way togo? or is OCS after college better? AND what do you guys think of Military stuff overall, good, or bad?

I would say hell yea go to ROTC If I would have kept myself in college I would have joined ROTC but I enlisted and know im finishing my degree to go to OCS. The military isnt that bad if it is for you. Not everyone is right for the military and there is alot of shit that you have to go threw in the military but its all worth it I think being an officer is way better than enlisted thoe. I wouldnt join the Army as a officer actually I would only go Navy or Marine Corp as a officer. I dont know how ROTC works if you gotta join the branch your rotc is on not but I know they will give you a scholarship to finish school if you are good in that class. Either way being a officer in the military is a pretty good deal.
