Post freaking belly wont go away
k well i have been working out alot this month, every weekday since i got home from college except this week cuz im sick and i cant do shit. Anyway i still have this gay belly and i really want to get rid of it. I change up my routines every two weeks or so to stay away from the plateau effect thing. Buts its basically:
chests
triceps
biceps
back
all spread over the 5 day week. The workout is usually 40-50 mins long and then after that i have been on the treadmill for like 20 mins a day cuz i cant run on like pavement cuz of my shoes. Im getting my shox delivered today hopefully or monday at latest and then i should be able to run for like atleast 30 mins. After the run i swim for like 20 mins to relax my muscles and crap.

Meal Plan (sucks alot)
Breakfast
frosted flakes in the morning before work
choc chip cookies and chips in my drawer cuz i get hungry haha

Lunch
Chicken wrap that my mom makes everyday till i get tired of it. Im like that i stick with one thing for a long ass time before i hate it and move on.

Snack after work
Totinos pizza rolls

Dinner
Pasta, mac and cheese, rice, chicken, salmon, beef, some kind of bread or totinos pizza rolls.... Differs each day

I had just bought muscle milk from cytosport to give that a shot. I have never used any supplements before and i have only heard good things about it. I was gonna use it this past week but i was sick so there was no point. So starting monday im gonna use it during my work out or after my work out im not sure when. Anyone know?

So thats basically it, im building mass i can tell but this belly wont go away and i really want this six pack at least by the time i get to college so that i can win the bet with my gf. I really think its my diet so anyone have any suggestions on what to eat, im trying to cut back on the cookies but its hard as hell.

Im 6'0 162lb ish and 19.

If you're looking to get rid of your belly, a good start is to jog everyday. Treadmill is effective, but you want to hit terrain which differs to challenge your body. Do a warmup lap around the block or on the treadmill to start, then stretch so you don't pull a chest muscle like I did (and believe me, it hurts to breathe when you do).

Generally you should be able to finish working out in 30-40 minutes, just because a workout shouldn't be that much longer. If you're working out properly and only allowing maximum 30 seconds for your muscle to rest between each set, then you're good. Try to set 2 or 3 muscle gruops a day, eg. Shoulders Arms Day 1, Chest Abdomen Day 2.

As to your diet, I wouldn't really concern myself from what you're listing. It would be nice to increase the carbohydrates in your diet, but if you stay consistent on your workout, you don't need to starve yourself. As to drinking the muscle milk, you generally want to dirnk it after you work out. Never drink it before, that's just how it is.

I'm no health food expert, but I do believe lol, frosted flakes in the morning with CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES is no good for that pouch. You can't lose jack squat eating any type of cookies really and if you drink soda just forget it; that shits like fat in a can.

I'd substitute a little more fruits in there whenever you get hungry. You are able to eat a lot more of it to fill you up when you feel like you need more cookies to fill your void.

Not sure if your aware of your daily caloric intake...but start becoming aware of your daily caloric intake.

I remember hearing somewhere that [b]you can weight lift and do as many crunches as you want, but when you're talking about your stomach, you can't burn the fat by doing them or those exercises you see on TV (why do you think most of those ads target your abs?). Cardio workouts all the way.

ya i learned that u cant lose ur stomach fat by doing ab workouts the hard way, now i have a 6 pack right under by layer of fat which make it look even bigger... I dont drink any soda cuz a. my parents hate them and never buy it and b. although i can buy it i choose not to and try to get like a choclate milk or gatorade or something at work and at the grocery store. I think frosted flakes are fine but ya im gonna try to cut back on the cookies, i wont buy anymore but should i get like nutri grain bars or something? those are pretty good i guess or anything healthy that tastes atleast decent? Thanks for all your help guys.

Good, you're halfway there. Just start doing cardio. Run, bike, swim. Get dead tired. You don't need the muscle milk either. What're you supplementing? The six-pack you already have?

Biggest thing about losing your gut is to substitute all the soda you drink for milk. Like Deep said, it's fat in a can. Soda/Pop will wreak havoc on your work outs. Even though I still drink a lot of it, I'm drinking more milk than I ever have before and I just feel stronger and can work out harder.

You want to put a little bit more cardio in your workout and while the treadmill and elyptical machines are good, like Dien said you should jog outside a while. Never forget to stretch properly and I have to say watch your diet a bit better. Cereal is fine but don't accompany it with cookies. Chicken is good, pizza rolls aren't great but they won't be too bad, it's the grease that'll affect you mostly.

Judging by the fact that you're 6'0 and 162, if you have any muscle tone you can't have too bad a gut. Last time I weighed in I was 6'0 and a buck eighty, I play TE first string and although I don't visibly have a 6-pac any more, I'm not overweight. You're either lanky with a gut or have some muscle tone and are a 14 year old annorexic girl.

Indeed do more cardiovascular workout. Do you drink alot of sodas? only allow your self 1 a day they're empty calories also cut down on your meal portions at lunch and dinner.

I havent drank soda since i was out for summer vaca from college where i would get it everyday during lunch and dinner at the cafeteria. I worked on my biceps and triceps a crap load to impress the girl during college and since i got home. So ya i got some tonage there but im going for being able to put up more weight than definition cuz im thinking why not get huge in the upper body area and then define it after? I also started buying alot of small t shirts and polos and i gotta tell u guys, it feels great haha but i think i kinda f'ed up cuz im already getting too big for them but w/e.I never really benched but my pecs were pretty decent somehow i dont know how but i just started benching again this summer started at 95 and at 145 right now. I know its not much but hopefully ill be at 200 by end of summer. Im taking muscle milk btw not for my abs but mainly to get big on the upper body area. But i did see ppl have lost weight so who knows maybe that might help.
Also to answer apok ya its a pretty small gut and my gf says its fine but its not, i hate esp when i play sports with my friends and im on the skins side. I prolly should tell u guys i did gain 15 pounds in college.... ya the freshman 15 but it was all muscle cuz i worked out alot with my roommate in college. Idk cuz before i could never gain any weight at all i was like 135-140 freshman to junior in high shcool and then senior year i started lifting a bit for college and gained 5 and then from there it went.

im not an expert but when i applied at a gym, the trainer said that try not to over work yourself. He said that breakfast should be ur biggest breakfast but it should also be healthy. Reading youyr dinner plans i would STRONGLY suggest that no matter how tasty mac and cheese is you should stay away from pasta. Nothing frozen or pre made which includes mivcrowave dinners. Fish, chicken, and beef and some vegetables are the best way to go. And if ur feeling hungry chew some gum or drink water. And if ur sick of water theres the flavoured water thats good.
