Thats a decent rig you got there but...Ive heard domse reviews and etc from gamers that the X2's have a severe problem with fullscreen 3d games like bf2 and hl2 etc, might want to research the gaming side of the x2 before you do anything.

I would wait a month or so and get one of the new intel dual core cpu's. There going to be cheaper faster and more geared to gaming then intel has ever been. :D Ohh also deff. go with EVGA they have a great program called step up. Lets say down the road a new nvidia card comes out and you have to have it well with the step up you just pay the difference in that card and the new one.

AMD FTW. The P4 had enough issues for me to avoid intel for the rest of my life.

Yeah, get that board. All will be gravy. It is an open box, but it's worht the try to save some scratch.

I might suggest beefing up the power supply too. 420 just isn't enough. Moooooore Poooooooower.

if this is for gaming, I'd go with a single core processor for right now and put the extra money saved at upgrading the video card.
You're current selection is very lopsided in power... your graphics selection is the bottleneck.

Go with an AMD 64 3800+ 939 - $142 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103531

Get a good sli mobo from asus - $143
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131540

Then you can get a better graphics card with the mone you saved!
You can either go 2x sli 7600gt or 1 7900gt - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150139

maybe you can even get 2x 7900gt... then you'll have some good performance!
you'll get more rounded and better performance!

just my 2 cents...

By open box it means that lets say you buy a open box vidoe card then you will only get the video card or say you buy a open box mobo then it will only come with the mobo nothing else.
