Post 2.2 Gigapixel picture of Delft, Netherlands
Found this on another message board i go to.

http://triton.tpd.tno.nl/gigazoom/Delft2.htm

The person who posted it writes this:

TNO has produced the largest digital panoramic photo in the world. So, what do we mean by large? After all, modern consumer cameras can easily take a picture with 5 million pixels. Well, we are talking about a photo of completely different dimensions. One with 2.5 billion pixels - that's 500 times more pixels. If this photo were printed, it would measure 6.67 m by 2.67 m (300 dpi). The photograph shows Delft and its surroundings in the autumn of 2004. It was taken from the top of the Electrical Engineering faculty of Delft University, at a height of about 100 m, by TNO.

blah blah

The photo's long exposure time of 1 hour and 15 minutes has resulted in several interesting artefacts in the photos. They occur at the edges of the overlapping photos and include:

A walking torso
A parked car merging into a bus
Clocks that show different times: 15:05 and 15:13.

Wow that is a crazy picture. I zoomed in on it and it was all blurry and then it loaded and the detail was crazy! And the floating torso annd car parking thing are pretty funny too.
