Been a member of the Fair Tax Orginization for years.

And I was a card carrying Libertarian until I decided that I'd rather just not deal with the whole "party" thing since common sense is a better dictator of views than towing a party line.

From a societal point of view some sort of structure needs to be set in place in order for massive amounts of people to exist together and use limited resources. Unfortunately, our society has seen no reason to control population growth (except China) and has a sense that everybody needs to live as long as possible no matter how weak they are (mentally, physically, anti-socially, etc.). As long as these viewpoints are held society as a whole has to deal with situations like this and be burdened to support the weak.

goverment population controll is the worst idea since the nazi party....

It needs to be left to common sense. its true there are idiots like this fat bitch out there but the majority arent f**king morons this is a unique case and can not be used to validate population control...

seriously you want the goverment to run your life vision? take a good look at china and tell me thats how you want to live your life.

take away the freedom to choose and you arent free.

You made an assumption that I believe that the government makes the decision on who lives and who dies. That is not what I said. I said our society deems it necessary to save and support the weak due to some illusion that everyone has a RIGHT to live. No one has a RIGHT to live. If you live, you live, if you die, you die it's as simple as that.

The problem is this society has been constructed with a faint notion of preserving life no matter the consequence. I disagree with this notion. This society we live in is an absurdity of nature and quite frankly has led to an imbalance in nature. Nature will always win there's no escaping it.

Population is not the problem.

Management of finite resources in relation to an infinite supply of money is.

Population is a problem and it will continue to be a problem until humans realize their arrogance.

Now I just feel sad, Vision, you don't believe in a right to live? Pro abortion I assume, sure kill the fetus before it has a chance to smile, or laugh or have is heart broken by a girl/boy. Man that is cold how can you love with an outlook like that. Life being worthless and all. Now I can understand someone in constant pain wanting to get it over with and I ain't got a problem with that.

On society supporting the "weak", don't forget that society is still made up of individuals and they made personal decisions to donate to charities and such, the Government invented welfare so your issue is with government not society. You can personally turn you back and not donate an iota of time or money to anything.

Survival of the fittest, an imbalance of nature, bah. We are who we are and run this shit because of it. We have an infinite power to destroy and the infinite ability to love. No other living thing posses these abilities, we are smarter, faster and deadlier that anything that exists. Even the weakest of our people can probe the cosmos's mysteries or take a life. There are some mooches but their children could cure cancer.

Let oil wells dry up why conserve something that will run out anyways? I never understood this. We will figure out an alternative if it becomes necessary. I the polar bear disappears forever so be it, the dinosaurs are gone and I am glad because I am too tasty to have big ass lizards runn'n amok.

I'm actually a hardcore pro-lifer and they prefer the term pro-choice apparently pro-abortion pisses them off. As I've said I feel sorry for the kids in this situation, all 14 of them. Their here and that's fine but my problem is letting the mother raise them. She should have never had been allowed to be implanted. The doctor didn't need the government to make the decision for him, he could have refused treatment but he didn't. Why didn't he? And why would a mother want more kids after having 6 kids (3 disablied) with no means of support. The answers to these questions are some of the problems of our society.

I don't have any problems with any government especially ours. A government is a reflection of a society and its culture. The underlying problems are those that exist in the society itself.

We do not have an infinite power to destroy. However, nature does. No matter how 'advanced' human society thinks it is and how much power it thinks it has it only takes a few acts of nature to demonstrate where the real power lies.

You say we are the smartest and deadliest but are we really? Maybe so but what does that really mean? How much pride can we take in such proclamations? Take the time and think about how big the universe actually is and think about how much we actually know about it. To give you some insight here is a fun little fact:

In the 21st century mankind will have progressed his knowledge 1000x more than he did in the 20th century.

All I'm saying is that humanity has a lot to learn and humility will go a long way when it comes time to institute the changes needed in our society. Some things are very evident one of which is that nature makes no sacrifice to preserve the weak and maybe humanity should think about that a little more.

Egreg, there's a difference between huge liberal and insane.

That difference is acknowledging this woman is a shameless bitch.

I guess my definition of Liberalism would be to let people live their lives as long as their decisions aren't effecting people who have no means of which to change their situation.

I'd say these poor kids fall in to that category so I really can't say anything besides she is a shameless bitch, as politically incorrect as it may sound.

dude you arent a libral if thats the way you feel your a libertarian

Maybe that is a more accurate description.

Funny how things like this test your beliefs though, really.

For the most part I'd like to believe that people as a whole can handle themselves well enough to not have a ton of government intervention, but when they obviously can't make a competent F*CKING decision it's easy to want the government to handle it.
