new castle is not terrible it's pretty decent 7%alco compared to the 5 most beers have. I like honey brown as well probably over new castlenactually but corona is my top right now

As for beers, I have to go with they all taste like piss. Especially any that come in a green bottle, they are the worst. I can tolorate Bud, Killians, Corona or Mich on a hot day on the beach or after mowing the lawn or something,(have you seen/tried the new bud light lime?) but if it's a pleasure outing or even casual, I will bring a few minis or a plastic 5th and a few cans of coke and I have an instant bar. I drink beer because I F*CKING love beer. Getting drunk just sorta happens sometimes.

All of the whiskeys you mentioned are decent, except Jim Beam. That stuff is bullshit. Knob Creek is probably the best beer you listed (and I'm actually pretty sure it's made by the Jim Beam distillery, which is hilarious).

But you can mix beer with things and it's delicious. Do this: get a bottle of good Hefeweizen (Widmer is good if you can't find anything local) and mix it half and half with cold coca cola and no ice. You've got yourself some Colaweizen. Germans and some Americans do it. I do it. It's delicious.

Also, purple, you're right and you're wrong. Hefeweizen means "wheat yeast" if I'm not mistaken. Any beer that's made with a high quantity of malted wheat is a hefeweizen. One of the things that people use to justify calling Hefes and "wheat beers" different things is that Hefes are generally unfiltered, and a lot of widely distributed "wheat beers" are.

Real men don't filter their beer anyway. I don't filter any of my homebrew.

ah gman! you're a bright bloke! (do i sound like fish or proff??? haha) i've never heard of the colaweizen, i'll have to give it a try, cause i do love both.

i'm also a fan of red beers or bloody beers, whichever you prefer to call them, where you mix a bit of tomato juice with your beer. usually coors or bud (not light!) work best. i got turned on to it from a mexican restaurant in denver, but i've never been able to make one that tastes as good as the ones they make.

all this talk about beer makes me wanna.... that's it, i'm drinkin!

Redbeer isn't bad. I was turned on to "Zing Zang" bloody mary mix by Corpse. I might have to mix that with some beer to make me some redbeer.

I didn't filter my homebrew. I don't know any homebrewers who admit to doing it either.

I'm more a whiskey/vodka/fag-drink/rum kind of guy.
