The Road to a GREAT CAL Team
By -=|L33t5|=-Anonaly

This is an hands on guide to making a Great CS or CZ Clan, I’ve Gotten this information from my years of playing and making clans, I’ve played CS since it came out, I took my Clan OPFOR all the way to CAL-I.

History of OPFOR:
OPFOR stands for Opposing Forces, We had 13 members, 6 CAL members, the 6 CAL members were our CAL Team, We were made up of myself, Deathdealer, Mini-Mike, Sooper, Bullz-Eyez, Kill-@-Nub, I was the only one that wasn’t in the military, all 5 of them Were Special Forces, 3 in the Army, 1 Marine and the other a Navy SEAL, We used the Buddy system and Tactic movements, things you don’t see Now days.

Clan Startup:
1. Pick a good name that sounds cool.
2. Have a Good Leader and 2 Co-Leaders.
3. Have a Voice server, and Game server.
4. get at least 10 members so you can go 5v5 in your own team.
5. Train A lot, Scriming is all about knowing how your Team plays, Train so much that you will know what the other person is doing without that person telling you.

What Makes a Good CAL Team?
Good Players, Good Leaders and Good Strats.

Good Players?
You can’t have just the run of the mill players in your clan; they need to have good skills.

Good Leaders?
People who know how to call strats as the round changes, the Strat caller needs to be able to call a new strat when something happens.

Good Strats?
You need to come up with your own strats, the strats that everyone use is weak, If you can make a strats that allows good rotation and places to use Nades and Fleshes is Great.

CAL?
You need to make sure before you go CAL that you can win, Scrim a lot, Scrim a lot of CAL-M clans, if you can win half the scrims you play with a CAL-M clan you can win at least 95% of your CAL-O scrims.

Now let’s get down to Scrim Rules:
1. Never buy unless the strat caller saids so.
2. Always report on how much money you have.
3. Use mic only to report the other team locations.
4. ALWAYS Follow the Strat callers orders.
5. STRAT Callers don’t control the other players when you’re dead.

Code Word's?
A good team use Code words that tell the team that something is happening.
Spotted other Team = CT or T long A, and say how many you see.
Spotted Bomb = Package at Long A, Or Bomb Long A.
Got Sound = you hear movement near you.
Incoming = means nade or flash is coming take cover.

Use the Clock system:
12 o clock is the way the person is looking, 6 o clock is behind the person.

Once in CAL:
You will need 2 people to handle a job.
1. Leader, person that call Strats.
2. Manager, Person that can Call Strats and setup trainings, and set scrims up.

Sounds pretty helpful. If helpful enough to the other people, sticky may be in order.

Clock positions would be much more difficult than simple directions, ie: behind, in front, right, left, up on your right.

This quote is useful

The rest is common knowledge, and even more scrim rules can be found here:

If only the parents knew how many of their kids have sworn allegiance to a middle aged man in Louisana who made a server one day. Good thing I am not Corpse, I would make a thread telling n00bs to jump off bridges to show their loyalty for n00bfest.
