Sounds like you either have some corrupted files, or your sound card drivers are giving you fits. |

Yeah I was gonna suggest replacing the sound models, or whatever they're called, in your valve folders...but I looked and couldn't find a directory with that stuff in it, so I dunno... |

alright...here's a step by step guide. step one....reinstall windows. if that works, you're good. if that doesnt work, go to step two. step two...throw computer down stairs, take a picture and post it on the website with the caption "OWNED!" next to it. end of steps. |

Try downloading third party sounds and using them. Fpsbanana should have some weapon skins/sounds that you can download. |

GOOD NEWS, no more hoping for a new comp anymore! I have finally ordered one. Tell me what u guys think. Its a Dell XPS, dual core 2.8 ghz processor, nvidia gtx 7800 video card, a g5 mouse, a new headphone set, xfi sound card. Is that good? I cant really remember the rest. I think its good. I dont really know about the processor though. It better be good. |

Sounds pretty good... make sure you have adequate power supply to hold up all that. I also have problems with sound... but mine is only when certain people try talking... either it's distorted as hell... or its muffled beyond any comprehension and I lose all sound... for the time they have the mic key pushed. Any suggestions? |
