I need a new router -- the one I have (Linksys WRT160N) still works, but the actual wireless portion of it keeps cutting out, and I keep having to reset it about once a day in order to get on my (new) laptop downstairs. Which brand seems to be the best out there? Which type seems to work best? |

This is the one I got here at home, you could def find a better price on amazon or somewhere else though (something like 50$) http://www.d-linkshop.ca/products.php?PID=395 It works really well, even if I go outside in my backyard, I still can go surf on the interweb without any problem, and I never had to reset it since I bought it a year ½ ago |

You might be able to fix it by flashing the router with aftermarket firmware. I use dd-wrt on my Linksys router and it is much better than the stock Linksys firmware. Looks like they support your router as long as its not version 2.0. http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index |

I'll have to try that first -- thanks Shredder! As for the D-Link -- I was looking on newegg, and they seem to have the best reviews...might have to look into them if the firmware thing doesn't work out. |

Yeah -- I must have done something wrong. I'm pretty sure I installed the wrong version of the firmware, now I can't get into my router to install the CORRECT version. I'm not too tech savvy.... |

Yeah -- I went to the local PX here (base retail store) and picked up the D-Link DIR-655 (saw the 615 there, but this was only $15 more, so I decided to upgrade a bit). So far, so good. |

how far can you go with your laptop with some pr0n opened? always useful if you got your mother-in-law or some of your wife's friends come at your place, and you seriously need to fap cuz of a suddent boner... so if you can go please yourself in the garage, everything's gonna be fine, trust me! |

Lol, gaming router... I got a basic d-link router, and since I bought it 2 years ago, never had any problem with it and never saw any god damn difference than when I was wired, sooooo F*CK the 150$ gaming router. |
