 Computer issues = cold feet
So my computer I built about 6 years ago is finally shitting the bed. About a week or so ago it started freezing while playing css or even at any given time. I talked to a few friends about it and they explained its probably my video card and suggested taking off the side panel and putting a more industrial fan directly on the card. I've followed their instructions to a T and its completely fixed my problem. The shitty part is every time I play cs. I have this fan blowing cold air onto my feet/legs. Its gotten so cold I'm starting to wear thermal socks every time I want to get on my computer! Any other suggestions. Perhaps its just time to start saving to build a new one huh?

Re: Computer issues = cold feet
yea, i say buy a new computer. i would say upgrade ur video card, but since ur computer is 6 years old it might not upgrade well. definitely suggest buying the parts and building it urself (or having some1 do it for u). if u cant do that, there are 2 websites i recommend that will custom build u a computer. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/and http://www.ibuypower.com/both a good, sometimes better than buying the parts seperately (depending on sales and junk,) if u want to buy the parts urself, goto newegg.com almost always has free shipping, if not, extremely cheap shipping. tax is non existent (in NY at least, idk about other places). and u can ask here for help about computers, we have plenty of good computer guys here, including me.

Re: Computer issues = cold feet
why don't you figure out exactly what the problem is?
make sure all your fans work... take the whole computer outside and dust out the inside, that shit will clog fans and hurt airflow.

My god, it's the Hillbilly Computer Repairman.
That fan probably cost more than a new video card that would run CS:S in a 6 year old computer, lol.
