Hey questions about how to upgrade my computer.
Okay so this is the computer i use currently to play on. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docu ... 2135#N1067. Now i looked up the specification on it and it says the maximum RAM it will accept is 4GB (2 times 2 GB). I looked on my computer specification and it says i already have this maxed. But while looking through the HP website it says that for 64 bit operating systems It goes well beyond 4GBs of ram. I have windows 7 premium and looking over the specs they say the max mine can hold is 16BGs. Now after all this confusing shit i further read that certain motherboards can only handle so much shit... All i want to know is can I upgrade this computers graphics quality so i can play games at there max settings... Any thing yall have to say on this matter that will help me is appreciated...

Re: Hey questions about how to upgrade my computer.
While you don't have a lot of RAM, 4GB is enough. The PC is also ok, you just need a new GPU and PSU. For the PSU anything at or above 500W is what you need, brands don't matter a lot, but the bigger better names usually do out perform and have a better warranty than the smaller names. For the GPU: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.htmlAnything on that that scores at a 900 or better will get you good FPS @ 1280*1024 on max. And if you want 300 constant on a higher res or just 300 constant 1500 or better will probably get that.

While it might be nice to get more for the future when you may need it, I really don't think you'll notice too much of a difference bumping that up right now. You'll notice much more of a difference upgrading your PSU/GPU or your processor than you would just upgrading your RAM. Also, I noticed the case is a slim-line design. Judging by some of the pictures I found from here ( http://www.compusa.com/applications/Sea ... CatId=5140" ), it looks like you may only be able to fit low profile GPUs into your case. There are some halfway decent low profile Graphics cards, but keep in mind the options will still be limited. You're not gonna be able to shove a GTX 480 into that case...you also might want to make sure that whatever card doesn't add too much heat. That case doesn't really look like it was designed to cool a gaming PC. Also, what kind of games are you looking to play? If you're looking to play stuff like CS:S at its max settings that shouldn't be too difficult given the circumstances. Just do what Spyda said and upgrade your GPU/PSU. If you're looking to play something like Metro 2033/Bad Company 2 at max settings, then you may want to consider getting a new case along with your PSU/GPU so that you can fit a decent card and cool everything properly.

Re: Hey questions about how to upgrade my computer.
ditch the case and psu.
Keep the ram,mobo,cpu,dvd drive,harddrive ,etc.
Then go out and buy a new case and PSU (Make sure your shit is ATx as some oem's use a Btx standard to prevent upgrades or switching of cases)

Re: Hey questions about how to upgrade my computer.
Step 1 sleepy nigga, get a new case. Any case that is microATX compatible will be fine. Step 2, get a powersupply. Your 220 watt psu cant handle any gpu you throw at it. Step 3, find a good priced gpu. You will need a dedicated card to adequately run any game. If you need help just shoot me a message on steam.
