Well, yesterday i turned on my computer and after the POST, it went to a black screen and restarted and kept doing that. i could get into the bios fine, but it wouldnt boot up windows. I have 4GB of G.Skill DDR3 1333MHz ram (2 sticks). with 1 stick, doesnt matter which, and doesnt matter which slot, my computer works fine, but with both sticks, it doesnt work. Any suggestions, i already have an RMA number from G.Skill, but i thought i would ask u guys if u have any suggestions b4 i send my ram in and have no computer for a week or 2.

1) Enable full memory test in the BIOS
2) Check the memory settings in BIOS: voltage (standard for DRR3 is 1.5V, but as I saw on the Newegg some G.Skill RAMs have 1.35V, 1.6V, 1.65V), timings / latency. Most of the settgins are hidden in the advanced BIOS settings - in the MB manula you should have information how to get there.
3) Check the memory using memory diagnostic tool: http://www.google.com/search?client=ope ... 8&oe=utf-8 (I'm not sure which one is legit)
4) Check the MB manufacturer website for BIOS updates. Most of BIOS updates are to support newer CPUs, some of them to fix bugs.
5) Reset BIOS to the default setting.

yea, i fixed the problem, it was actually a software issue. somehow my MBR was changed, so i reinstalled windows 7 and it works fine now. idk how it was changed, but it was, lol.

That's kind of scary...only thing I know that would alter the MBR without your knowledge is an MBR rootkit.

no, i realized it wasnt the MBR, it was the boot loader, i think when i used the new version of the win 7 loader by daz it changed my bootloader to grub and fucked it all up, idk. it works now, lol.
