Problem loading servers

 Problem loading serversMy computer was messing up and kicking me off everytime I tried to go into a server. I ran the recovery disc, and went to download steam again. Now,the bottom bar fully loads, the top one goes about 3 quarters of the wya, and stops, and it freezes my computer. can anyone help me??

it does that for mine too... it sucks. if you figure it out, please tell me too. the thing i got it to help me a litlle is is to type, shit i dont remember, dont type that lol, i dont remember... go to the steam website and go to the forums... its something about lazy precache

I let it sit, and it goes up a little bit, than it kicks me off and sais "Timed out"....

You might want to redownload the main file for whatever game client it is you are using. If its trying to update the cache from the main server while joining the game, the server or the game may think that the connection is dead due to inactivity between the server and the game. So... go to ...
http://www.steampowered.com and redownload your cache. BTW, recovery disks shouldnt be used unless your OS is failing. You should learn how to fix the problems instead of just scrubbing your system. You might also want to try deleting the clientregistry.blob file. Sometimes ( not always ) that seems to help as it will get gummed up after a long while of playing. [r] |

i got it working for like, 3 days. I turn off my computer, turn it back on, same problem..isnt loading..

uhm, your problem is that you didnt reaload CS + half-life all the way, go into your games list and i got 10 $ that says your files arent 100% done downloading, just right click on a game and go to properties

i just rite clicked and went to play games. right clicked Condition Zero and went to properties..and in there it sais Amount Required : 76%....so i guess your rite, now i just have to get the rest of it
