Post I want to upgrade my graphix...HELP
Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_38 Hey all, I guess since there's talk of converting to Source, I need to upgrade my video card. Problem is, I have Intel Extreme integrated graphix. Here's my current system specs:

Compaq Presario: SR1103WM
2GB RAM (Max)
40 GB Hard Drive
Intel Extreme Graphics (Integrated)

That's all know about it. I need to find a card that will support Source and not break the bank. Any suggestions?????

I have looked on Crucial, Tiger Direct, New Egg and even searched CNET. I can't find any info. Is it even possible?

Make sure you have a PCI-Express slot or an AGP slot on your PC before even looking.

Looks like you only have the old old old school pci slot. The best pci card is gonna run you about 120 and suck ass.If i were you i would upgrade.Your cheapest upgrade would be a new motherboard that would run around 50 and new agp card for about 130.

This setup would run games pretty good.

This is the card I bought for $50 shipped. Got mine refurbished off of Ebay but this is still a good deal. And I also have the old PCI slots so it will work.

Thanks for the info. I'll be checking into this stuff this week for a purchase this weekend! I mean..the kids will only have to go hungry for like a week...2 at the most. They're cute, I'll bet they can get enuff for the whole family on the street! Time to dip into junior's college fund, daddy is going gaming!
