| Post subject: | PS/2 or USB |
If I have the option of using a mouse with either a USB or PS/2 connection, does it make a difference to which one I select? |

I use the PS/2 Connections so I can leave room for other things for my USB ports...but, that's just me. |

Joe is right and this is really a very particular choice. People might want to use PS/2 because they don;t have much USB slots available. IN the other hand i preffer USB because i have a different mouse only to play and i plug it on the USB front panel of my desktop which makes it easier for me. |

Yeah...that's what I meant when I said I use PS/2. It frees up my USB ports so I can plug in all my other externals. |

Performance wise, you won't notice a difference. I use PS/2 for keyboard and USB for mouse, simply because my mouse is usb. It doesn't matter. |

usb is faster, i like it better (mainly cause my laptop has no ps/2 ports) but it seems to have more options, like i have a usb mouse that has a button that when clicked once, actully clicks 3 times!! |

I believe that a PS/2 port doesn't like too many commands at once..So if your pressing alot of keys at once it tends to /cry on you. Id just use USB because most motherboards have like 123123 usb ports now and you can always get a hub for your peripherals. |

I used to know some dumbass who would argue that PS/2 was the only way to go because it had a faster interface than USB. |
