Okay...as some of you have heard (and gotten pissed off at), my microphone SUCKS ASS in game now. From what people are telling me, you hear a LOT of reverb when I talk on my mic. I've tried swapping out microphones, and I've tried swapping out speakers. None of which have helped. The only thing I've been able to come up with is getting a new sound card. Now, this new computer I've got came pre-installed with a Realtek High Definition audio driver. I think it sucks balls. I'm going to get myself a new sound card and see if that helps (HOPEFULLY!). If it doesn't, I'm out of ideas. Anything you guys can think of would be greatly appreciated. One more thing, please PLEASE bear with me when I try to fix it. A few people were getting mad because my mic was sucking so bad in game. I can't help that if I'm trying to troubleshoot it. So yeah...I'll let you know what I come up with. Right now, though, for anyone coming on tonight (17 February), if you know any good soundcards to try, please let me know (WITHIN MONEY REASONS! I'm not made of money! Anything under $100!) EDIT: Been talking to people in game, and came up with this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6829102006 Anyone heard anything about it? Good? Bad? |

Great card joe, that should cure your problems. As for installing just go into your bios and disable onboard audio and pop that sucker in a pci slot then the included disc's should handle the rest. |

Yeah...I've been reading the reviews on newegg, and it says something about doing that, too. I'll have to remember that one. Thanks. |

Alright...got it today, installed. Tweaked with some settings and tried CZ. Everyone in there told me it sounded loud and clear. I'll keep testing and testing, just to make sure. Again, if it sounds all nasty again, please bear with me. Don't get as pissy and someone did (won't mention any names, but he's an iceworld loyal named Rage)...its not my fault that I'm testing out my stuff to see if it works! You'll all be hearing my sexiness again! By the way, if you're thinking about getting the XFi, DO IT! I barely have to have my speakers turned up at all to hear things clearly! Its worth every stinkin' penny! |
