Help Updating Windows 2000
I have a computer that I found on the side of the road that has Windows 2000 on it. I also found 3 working monitors.
Anyways I'm trying to hook it up to my home network, yet it doesn't have a networking card so I bought a wireless network Adapter. I plugged it into the USB and it dosn't recognize my network.
I hooked it up to my computer and it does recognize the network. I've all ready installed the drivers for the adapter via a thumb drive that I downloaded from the internet.
So I figure i need to update this old system with windows update. I download the update from
www.microsoft.com and i transfer it over using my thumb drive. When I load it on that computer, it loads but says "Service Pack 4 Setup Error" The following error occured while service pack 4 setup attempted to download the service pack 4 files from the internet: the server name or address could not be resolved."
This is gay, because the reason I'm updating it is so I can connect to the internet. So there's no way to update this???
Shit btw i just blew my stupid thumb drive. 1 gig. damnit.
