Ok so I found a site that has a barebone setup with a Athlon 64 FX-60. But its the 939 socket setup not the AM2. But its only 399.99 and that processor by itself is around 350.00 The other downfall is it has ddr memory over ddr-2 but I dont know the differance. Does it sound like a good deal. Here is the link. http://www.tigerdirect.com/email/wem128 ... =ILC-FPM02 or this one but its like 700.00 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... 77&CatId=0. Or if anyone knows were to get a good barebones with AMD X2 4200 up or Intel Dual Core for a reasonable price. |

What case you got ? So can you tell me what the differance is between buffered and unbuffered memory ? Cause I would like to just swap the memory from my other computer cuz I have 2 gig in there of ddr. |

Yeah thats a good deal but on the other hand for that 400 you could get a intel duel core, 1 gig of ddr2, hard drive, and case for about the same money. But if you decide to go with the fx 60 you wont be dissapointed.Im still using my a64 3000 clocked at fx 57 speeds and two gigs of ddr 400 @566 mhz.Just overclock the piss out of and you will love it.But then on the other hand the fastest chip on the market for oveclocking is a 1.8 intel duel core that goes for 180 bucks. Those things are monster overclockers.Have i got you confused yet? |

Go in the bios and just up the front side bus high as you can till it wont boot. Then make sure the temps are ok.Its really that simple but you will need to keep a check on the temps and find a sweet spot that will give the boost and reliabilty you want. |
