Alright...as most of you know, I cant get my mic to work in game. I dont know what the hell to do, because I already have every single mic volume control turned all the way up. I've tried my rear mic jack, my front mic jack and my front headphone back (which worked with my last computer), all with no avail. Also, whenever I try to switch my mic transmit volume down, it always reverts it back to all the way turned up when I hit "okay" and continue on in the game. HELP! It's pissing me off that I cant scream and yell at all you! |

If I had another mic, I would try it. It worked fine on my other computer, though, not even a month ago. I plan on going out tomorrow sometime and getting another cheap one to troubleshoot. |

Yeah, I think we should just keep it like this. It's more peaceful. |

If that was off, I wouldnt be able to hear anyone though, right? I can hear everyone, just cant talk on my mic. Well, from what I hear, people can hear me, but my mic is REALLY quiet, eventhough I have every setting I can find turned up. |

I'd suggest what you've already said - purchase another mic and test with it. If you have access to another computer, you could also test it on that one. |

Alright. Thanks for all the advice. I thought I'd give you all a shot before I buy another mic...maybe one of you would know some setting that I would miss or not know about. |

Go to: Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Sound Recorder See if you can get your mic to work in that program and if you can its a problem with CZ not your mic and otherwise its probably a mic problem. |

I had a problem a while back with the same thing. I kinda did a few things to see if it would fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I switched the mic hot key. I got a new mic, cause my cats like the cords. If you do that, i gaurantee it will work. Mine was messing up the same way. I did nothing to it, and it just wouldnt work. Nothing that I would do in game or anything would work. So try that if you would like to. :) |

Alright...I got a new mic, and I'm having the same problem. Also, I tried doing this and it seems to work fine. I mean, its quiet, but it works. Every setting I can find seems to be turned up. When its not, I turn it up. Sometimes they revert back to where they were though, after I turn them up. Any suggestions?? Same with CZ. My Transmit Volume is at the max setting, and when I turn it up, it always reverts back to the highest setting. Goddamn, someone help! LMAO! I cant take much more of this being quiet when I'm playing shit! EDIT: Okay...I just read through that and its kinda confusing. To put it as best as I can: People can hear my mic, but its quiet as can be. Every setting I can find appears to be turned up. |

Nevermind. Apparently, Realtek just sucks balls. I have two settings, apparently....the regular default audio driver and the Realtek HD Audio. The HD audio settings didnt work, but I reinstalled the basic, regular audio settings and everything seems to work. Thanks for all the help anyways, though. |
