Ok, so i got my new pc, with a SB Audigy 2 zs sound card or something...i have the speakers all hooked up and its only nothing the front left and right, not the other 2 nor the center...this thing has some wicked setup for it all, u can change anytrhing you want, but it doesnt detect the other ones...like from the 5 speakers, on has 3 plugs that connect to the sound card, a green one, a black one, and a redish one, i have them where it told me to put them but still it only shows the "green" one connected, the green one is for the front left and rigfht speakers..so its got that..and it knows it, it even shows the green plug in this THX setup console....very frustrating |

Just in case I don't get in touch with you. Instructions for configuring Windows XP for more than just simple desktop speakers. Go to the control panel, open "Sounds and Audio Devices", click the "Volume" tab in the upper left corner if it isn't already showing. Then go to the bottom portion of the screen where it says "Speaker Settings" and click on the button that says "Advanced". If the "Speakers" tab isn't already showing, click it in the upper left corner of the window. Next to "Speaker Setup" there should be a drop down arrow which will allow you to select the type of speaker setup you have. If your standard stereo speakers are the only thing working right now, it's probably set for regular desktop speakers. Change it to 4.1, 5.1, 7.1 or whatever the hell you have, and click "Apply" and "ok". You should be good to go. Depending on your A2 software, there should be test programs that you can run that will allow you to adjust your volume settings and hear some test sounds and patterns. |

If that doesn't work you'll need to call in the Cuban brigade from Alienware and they'll talk you through some troubleshooting steps. |
