What causes a computer to crash? Also, my girlfriend tried to change the theme on her computer (WindowsXP) and everything went all black. Like, everything. Anyone know how to fix that? |

Ryan how did she try and change the theme? With a program? or just by right click and change? Because if it was WinXP Customize then uninstall it and it will go back to the default. Lots of things can cause a computer to crash IE Heat, HD failing etc, what errors are you getting? |

Mine isn't gonna crash, I'm just asking hypothetically. So if it crashes, it'll give you an error? |

generally it will give u the blue screen of death. most computer have a diagnostics test u can access in the boot process that will tell you what crashed i.e. your video card or hard drive or what. |

Windows could make it crash. Most likely she has active desktop on.. once that is turned off should be fine |

Sometimes a computer can give an error. Sometimes it will restart. It can be caused by programs It can be caused by a crappy computer It really depends just gotta let us know when something happens, then we will know what's going on. |

Iam telling you, right click on the desktop and look for active desktop in the settings smoewhere.. onces its disabled it wont be fucked.. |
