Post Video Card Help
Need some help with a video car problem. Right now I don't have one and I run off of integrated graphics. I have PCI slots (not PCI express). This is the card that I am thinking about getting-Interface: PCI - Card Chipset: ATI - Installed Memory: 256MB - Memory Interface: 128 bit. Will this help with my FPS? And secondly should this allow me to finally play source finally. Here is some general info on my CPU - Dell Dimension 3000 Pentuim 4 2.80GHz 512 MB of RAM
Right now I sport a solid 35-50 FPS in CZ with 0 choke and 0 loss. To do this my RES has to be 800X700. Oh yeah and I use cable internet, any help would be great!

Pretty much almost any card will blow away the internal video card. You have either 32mb or 64mb of video memory internally. So going to a 256mb card will be a definite improvment. Almost consider getting more RAM. Had 512 in my ytebefore adding an additional 1GB. Again a nice improvement. As for the pc being a Dell, don't worry about it. I have a Dell Precision 380 workstation.

PCI will not have nearly the same about of BUS speed as the intergrated graphix does.. but the processing power will be much greater.. you could try and make a fat or headsink to stick on the card you have now and overclock it or just get that card and some ram.. youd be set then
