| Post subject: | Steam/Steam games won't open. |
When I use my shortcuts to Steam/Condition Zero/1.6, they won't open. It just acts like its loading for a second, then it returns to doing nothing. I go to my steam folder and double click the steam.exe.. and that won't open either. And I dunno if this helps.. but World of Warcraft can open and I can play that.. but UT2004 won't open either. It does the same thing as Steam. Any ideas? |

when you try to open it does it come up in your taskmanager anywhere? cause some times my steam takes a couple of minutes to open and its annoying as hell so maybe open it and wait a while =/ |

Did you recently create a new partition or format any partitions? Have you ever seen the windows file-checker thing when you booted up? ctl alt delete, go to processes. Does the hl.exe process ever register as a running process when you open CZ? |

I had this problem too, It started when I reinstall the game after a video driver update. It get fixed when I deleted the shortcuts from desktop and created again from main window game. |
