Post Reformatting Tips?
Been having some major issues with my computer recently, namely programs freeze randomly and my task manager won't close them properly forcing me to restart, and I might need to reformat. So my question is, how do I save 15 GB of information easily to transfer once I format? Without spending over 60 dollars that is.

I have a second computer if need be, so if it would be easier to transfer it all over there and back somehow, just let me know what ideas you have.

if you have a dvd burner, burn it on some dvd's. If not just buy a spindle of cd's and burn it onto a shit load of those, or if you have an ipod, put it on there. Think about buying a new hd? I don't know how much they cost. That's pretty much all i can think of, maybe you can find like a usb jump drive for less than $60?

I bought a 2gb Usb drive for under 50. It's like a big floppy disk so you can transfer over stuff 2gb at a time. Also, you could take out your HD from one computer and install it onto the faulty one, then just drag and drop any programs you want out onto it. That, or maybe get a crossover cable and set up a link between them to move things over.

And unless you plan on keeping the programs and info like in physical form on cds, I wouldn't recommend burning all of that on them. It's a pain in the ass.

Ok I'll come clean, It's like 14 GB of music and 1 GB misc shit lol. If I move it all onto my Ipod, will I be able to move them all back into it's mp3 file form, so I can listen to it on my computer? I've never had to transfer music FROM my Ipod so I don't know.

I don't think Ipods transfer music to computers. Some anti-piracy thingy in them. But if you have an AIM screen name there is a website that you get 15-20 gigs of space to upload whatever to and then you just re dl it. I would suggest doing this over night due to its going to take FOREVER to do. And make sure you do it after sat, because your ass will hit stop on it if you try it before our match vs those pads.

Sorry, its only 5 gb, but 4 screennames would be 20 gigs, just make 3 more names similar to yours and write down the pws and names. Upload away!
