So my mom bought a new computer with windows vista and she can't run most of her programs on there. And she is looking for a way to switch to Xp without buying the CD from fries. Does anyone know a way to switch from vista to xp? There is like a vista comparable thingy.

Actually you can run XP software on Vista. If you just right click on the program go to properties. Click the compatibility tab. Then in the first box under that is says run this program in compatibility mode for: the use the drop down and pick XP Service Pack 2. Then check the box over next to it then hit apply settings. And that should work and if not use thoes same steps and leave it in XP but all the way at the bottom of the screen there is another box and check it. It says run program as administrator then click apply or ok and it should work. And if it doesnt then you will have to "legally" purchase XP and reformatt or you can call who ever u bought the computer from and see if you can get XP instead of Vista but that should work anyways. It does on my computer thats how I play BF2.
