Post Speakers/Headset
I like listening to music while I'm playing CZ but when I'm sneaking up on someone or trying to hear the enemy it distracts me. Is there any way I can get the sound from CZ to come through my headset only and the music come through my speakers only? That way when I'm trying to hear footsteps, I can reach over and turn the speakers down.

even if you used two sound cards, how are you going to split the sound coming from the same place?

come on. I gave one idea already... don't expect everything... JK. really don't know the answer to that. I just thought would be possible since you can do sort of the same with the video part spliting into more than one monitor. I don;t know maybe just a stupid idea.

this is what i do, i use a speaker that connects to my sound card, and a USB headset, i goto volume control -> options -> properties, under mixer device i choose the USB audio device for main sound.

THENNNNNNNNN i goto windows media player (assuming you use that, do it)
tools -> options, under the tab devices

double click speakers and i choose directsound : (whatever sound card model) it SHOULD work, and if it does, gg i'm asian

Hells yes, I figured it out. With my headset unplugged from the USB, I had the music going so it came from the speakers, right? Right. So I was thinking, why don't I just plug my headset in while its playing? So I did, and WAL LAH! It worked. Music was playing from my speakers and CZ was playing through my headset. Damn I'm smart.

I love F*CKING with my Marine students by saying "OORAH" all the time in class. It gets them all riled up because the Navy is saying it :)
